One-Time Blair Man Dies At Santa Barbara
Col. Logan T. McMenemy, a one-time Blair man, died May 1st at Santa Barbara, Calif., it has been learned. Col. McMenemy, a retired business executive has been a resident of Santa Barbara for 25 years.
He was born at Blair March 20, 1892, but left this area as a young man.
He was educated at Lake Forest Academy, Lake Forest, Ill., and attended Yale University. He served in World War I as a Captain in the U.S. Air Corps, seeing service on several continents. He was holder of the Victory medal, 4 bronze stars and had other recognitions.
Later he entered the construction business in Chicago. He had other business interests and was Director, Board member and Trustee of a number of organizations.
He is survived by his wife, a native of Houston, Texas. He is known to some of the older residents of this area.
