Dale Sheets
Dale R. Sheets, 43, of Omaha passed away at Methodist Midtown Hospital on June 10, 1987, from injuries received in an accident on August 15, 1986.
He was born on May 17, 1944, at Blair to Edward Clayton and Lucy Katherine (Miller) Sheets.
Sheets grew up and attended school in Herman prior to moving to Omaha a number of years ago.
At the time of the accident, he was employed as a truck driver by Hawkins Construction Company of Omaha.
He served in the U.S. Army from June of 1965 until May of 1967, and was a member of Jackson Peck Post #274 of the American Legion at Herman.
Survivors include two brothers, Ervin Sheets of Omaha and Edward Sheets of Tekamah; three sisters: Margie McKain and Violet Kruger both of Omaha, and Evelyn Stapels of Herman; nieces and nephews.
Sheets was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Kenneth and Lester Sheets.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 13, 1987, at the American Legion Hall in Herman, with Rev. Larry G. Orvis officiating.
Interment was in the Herman Cemetery with Military Graveside Honors by Jackson Peck Post #274 of the American Legion.
Arrangements were handled by the Hamel & Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah.
