Critically injured late Saturday when the tractor he was operating went over a ten-foot embankment, Bert Metzler, 52, farmer of northeast of Herman, died Monday evening at Tekamah General hospital.
He was assisting a crew of men in cutting wood on the Chatt timberland when the tractor upset and went over the embankment, pinning him underneath.
