Wesley Short, 75, of Fort Calhoun, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006 at his home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 6, at Braman Mortuary, 1702 North 72nd Street, Omaha. Interment will be in Westlawn Hillcrest Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 5, from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will be present after 6:00 p.m.
Wesley Short was born in 1931 to Charles W. and Lula I. Short in McCook. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a self-employed trashologist and the owner of Short Sanitation. He flew airplanes and ultra-light planes and loved fishing and hunting.
He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Duane and Leslie Short of Iowa; a daughter and son-in-law, Fayann and John Biodrowski of Fort Calhoun; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Phyllis.
