MRS. BERTHA THADEN, 92, DIED FRIDAY. SERVICES MONDAY
Funeral services were held today (Monday) for Mrs. Bertha Thaden, 92 years of age, who died Friday night.
The services were held at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Jack Mauldin officiating, assisted by the Rev. Hemphill of Arlington. Burial was in Fort Calhoun Cemetery.
Mrs. Thaden is survived by five daughters: Mrs. Carl Stelgriede of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Mrs. Fred Dixon of Fremont; Mrs. Harold Haskins of Constantine, Michigan; Mrs. Herman Kay and Mrs. Fred Puls, both of Blair; two sons, Rudy of Blair and Reinhart of Omaha; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Thaden was born November 18, 1870. She lived with her husband, Ude who died in 1934, for many years on a farm near Fort Calhoun. She was at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Dixon at the time of her death.
The Sievers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
