FORMER BLAIR SCHOOL HEAD DIED LAST YEAR

Many Blair residents will remember I. J. Montgomery, one-time Superintendent of Schools here.

Since leaving Blair the Montgomerys have made several moves but have been living in Alaska for some time. There has been a very limited correspondence with the family in recent years.

Blair friends have learned this month that Mr. Montgomery died in May of 1968 – a fact which was not known here. Information is that he died after a brief illness. Cause of the death is not known.

Mrs. Montgomery continues to make her home in Alaska, according to information which has been received.
