MILDRED THIETJE, 85
Services were Thursday, Jan. 23 at Ben Stalp Funeral Home in West Point, Nebr. for Mildred (Mrs. Eldon) Thietje, 85 of West Point, who died Jan. 21, 1997 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point. Rev. Carl E. Kramer officiated. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery at West Point.
Mildred Thietje was born March 5, 1911 at Blair to Henry and Sophie Nielsen Petersen. She graduated from Blair High School and was a telephone operator in Blair for several years.
She married Eldon Thietje Oct. 28, 1931 at Blair.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon on May 30, 1990; her parents and one brother, Chris.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Donna Mancuso, Omaha; three grandchildren, Terri (Mrs. Tom) Hamburger and Brad Mancuso, both of Omaha and Kirt Mancuso of Chicago, Ill.; one great-granddaughter, Francine Hamburger of Omaha and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Glen Schuetze, Dale Thietje, Jan Schuetze, Leo Siebrandt, Gary Schuetze and David Schuetze.
The Ben Stalp Funeral Home in West Point was in charge of arrangements.
