RITES MONDAY FOR ANTON THOMPSON
Funeral services were held today (Monday) at 9 a.m. at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church for Anton Thompson, 97 years of age, who died Thursday at West Point.
Father Nolan officiated with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Katy Marshall of Artesia, Calif.; Mrs. Ruby Romberg and Mrs. Lula Robinson, both of Omaha; two sons, Anton of Fremont and Albert of Omaha; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Thompson, a former resident of Washington County, was born June 5, 1865 in Germany. The past 16 years he has been making his home at the St. Joseph Home for the Aged at West Point.
The Bendorf Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
