CECIL THOMPSON RITES ON FRIDAY
Cecil J. Thompson, 50, well known farmer of the Gardner School district, passed away at the Immanuel Hospital early Wednesday morning, June 12th. Mr. Thompson had been in failing health for several months and had been confined to the hospital three days prior to his death.
Deceased was born June 20, 1895, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thompson. On March 21, 1917, he was united in marriage to Anna Peterson of Blair. To this union two sons were born, Kenneth, recently returned from the service, and Willard, 14. Besides the wife and sons, one brother, Rudolph Thompson of Winside, also survives.
Mr. Thompson has been engaged in farming his entire life and was highly respected in his community.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Friday) afternoon from the Baptist Church with Rev. D. D. Kennedy officiating. Short services will also be held at the Thompson home.
Bendorf Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
