AT REST

“Mrs. Mary J. Thompson, mother of Mrs. T. S. Heck, died at the home of her daughter Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Thompson was born in Preble, Cortland county, N. Y., October 6, 1825, and died June 25, 1913, aged 87 years, 8 months and 19 days. She came to Long Pine with her husband in May, 1884. She leaves two sons and one daughter to mourn her loss: Merritt Thompson of Ruck, Oregon, Isaac Thompson of St. Paul, Minn., and Mrs. T. S. Heck of Long Pine.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Wells and body laid at rest this afternoon in Grandview Cemetery.”
