LOLA THOMPSON, 60
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 12 at First Christian Church in Blair for Lola Jean Thompson, 60, who died July 10, 1996 at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.
Lola Jean Thompson was born in Omaha September 16, 1935 to Vernon and Belva Leona Kephart Hineline. She attended Blair Schools, living in DeSoto, Nebraska during her early years.
She moved to Blair with her parents in the early 1940s. She resided in Blair at the time of her death.
She worked at Boys Town and for the last eight years had worked at the Marriott Reservation Center in Omaha.
She was a member of First Christian Church, Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority, Helping Hands Ministry, Sweet Assurance Singing Group, Golden Rule Circle, and the church’s worship committee and other church activities.
She married Ray F. Thompson Sr., December 8, 1952 at Blair.
She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon; a son, Keith and a daughter, Carol.
She is survived by her husband; sons and daughters-in-law, Ray Frank of Blair and Kent and Tammi of Omaha; daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn and Russell Steffen of Blair; Brenda Thompson of Blair and Lisa and James Gould of Wichita, Kansas; a brother, Norman Hineline, Omaha; her mother and stepfather, Leona and Lavern Plambeck of Omaha and eight grandchildren.
