Services Saturday 11 a.m. Crosby-Kunold Mortuary, 32nd Ave. and Farnam. Committal Hillcrest.

Death Takes Hans Nelson
EX-U.P worker was Country Fiddler Hans A. Nelson, 87 of 5034 Hickory Street, a retired baggage handler with the Union Pacific Railroad,
died Wednesday at a local hospital.
He was a fiddler for dances when he was a farmer in Greeley County, and at the National Fiddlers and Country Music contest at Brownville, Neb, last year he was the oldest contestant.
As a boy during the Blizzard of 1888 he found his way home from school by following a fence, he had recalled.
He was a native of Denmark and came to this country at the age of four.
Survivors: His wife, Carrie; daughters, Miss Ethel M., and Mrs. William Cowdery; sons, Marvin S. and Earl R., all of Omaha; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Crosby-Kunold Mortuary, with burial at Hillcrest Cemetery.
