Rev. H. E. Motter, a former pastor of the Christian church at this place and at Kennard, was killed by a gasoline explosion at Craig, Neb. on Monday of last week. He was building the kitchen fire with gasoline, pouring it from a five gallon can, when the explosion occurred. He left $3,000 life insurance to his widow and daughter who will make their home at Bethany, Neb.
