SERVICES HELD FOR ELVIRA TIETGEN
Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home of Fort Calhoun was in charge of arrangements for Elvira K. Tietgen, 81, who passed away in Schuyler Memorial Hospital on August 5, 1981. Services were held on Saturday at Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church, and interment was made at Prairie View Cemetery. A prayer service was held at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home on Friday evening.
Elvira Sunds was born at Kennard on September 26, 1899. She married Henry Tietgen, and they lived in the Kennard, Washington and Fort Calhoun areas before he passed away in 1972. Recently Mrs. Tietgen spent time in various hospitals and at Good Shepherd Home.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Delores) Schmidt of Schuyler; Mrs. Opal Timperley of Omaha; one brother, Albert Sunds of Arlington; two sisters, Mrs. William (Freda) Wiese of Omaha; Mrs. William (Irma) Matsen of Colorado; four grand-daughters; and six great-grandchildren.
