Mrs. Edith Murphy Died Here Tuesday
Mrs. Edith Arvilla Murphy, resident of the Blair apartments, died last Tuesday, October 8th at Community Memorial Hospital in Blair. Mrs. Murphy was 65 years old.
The deceased was born at McCook, Nebraska, February 21, 1903.
Mrs. Murphy’s husband preceded her in death about fifteen years ago. She is survived by two daughters and two sons and a sister. The daughters are Donna Jane Miller and Della Rae Miller, both of Blair. The sons are Melvin Murphy of Hermiston, Oregon and Fred S. Murphy of Arvada, Colorado. The sister is Mrs. Hazel Sielman who resides in Missouri.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the First Methodist church with the Rev. Richard Atherton conducting the service. Burial, under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary, was made in the Blair cemetery.
Pallbearers were Raymond Holbrock, Ed Bartling, Don Johnson, William Bolton, Larry Spanton and Emmett Johnson.
