Glenn A. Christensen, Sr., age 56, of Tekamah, died Thursday afternoon, April 20, 1989 at the Memorial Community Hospital in Blair, Nebraska.
Glenn was born on September 19, 1932 near Herman, Nebraska to Morris and Hannah (Peterson) Christensen. He married Shirley A. Ewell on July 26, 1956.
Glenn served in the U. S. Navy from May, 1951, to June, 1970. He worked as a Steamfitter for Control Services, Inc. of Omaha for several years. Glenn was a member of Steamfitters Local #464, AFL-CIO of Omaha; Tekamah Lodge #31, A.F. &A.M. and a member of the First Presbyterian Church at Tekamah.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley A. Christensen of Tekamah; two sons: William Allen Christensen of Omaha and Glenn A. Christensen, Jr. of Tekamah; two daughters: Donna Arndt of Germany and Debra Stokley of Hertford, North Carolina; eight grandchildren; one brother, Clarence Christensen of Herman and one sister, Hazel Davis of Denver, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dean Christensen.
Funeral services were Tuesday, April 25 at First Presbyterian Church in Tekamah with Rev. Thomas E. Robson officiating and Masonic Rites conducted by Tekamah Lodge #31 A.F. & A.M. Interment was in the Tekamah Cemetery with graveside Military Rites by the Tekamah V.F.W. and American Legion Posts.
Arrangements for the services were by Hamel & Peck Funeral Home.
