Fred Nemetz died in California

Fred Nemetz, Jr., 69 years old, of Hemet, California died August 18 in a Hemet hospital. Fred, a native of Blair, Nebraska, was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Clifford, of California and Dewey Nemetz of Blair.

Survivors are his wife, Marge, one sister, Mrs. Max Bain, Blair, and one brother Donald E. Nemetz of Charlottestown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, also many nieces and nephews.

Fred was a career man in the U.S. Navy and is to be buried with full military services, conducted by the Navy, at Riverside Memorial Park, on Tuesday, August 21 at 2 p.m.

Fred was a survivor of the bombing of Pearl Harbor and was in every major battle of the Pacific in World War II.
