#1- - from 4 Feb., 1932 - The Enterprise FORMER BLAIR WOMAN DIES IN COLORADO Word was received in Blair last evening of the death of Mrs. Ed Beard of Wiggins, Colorado, formerly of Blair, and a sister of Oliver Hudleson of this city. She passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 3, in a hospital at Fort Morgan, Colorado where she underwent an operation for tumor. Funeral Service Held at Baptist Church Sunday

The body of Mrs. William E. Beard who passed away at her home in Wiggins, Colorado, and last Wednesday was brought to Blair for burial last week.

Funeral services were held at Wiggins on Saturday and on Sunday a service was held at the Baptist church in Blair. Interment was made in the Blair cemetery.

The deceased as Fannie J. Hudleson was born January 8, 1872, at Orleans, Indiana.

In 1882 she moved with her parents to a farm near Blair. In September of 1907 she was married to Wesley Dixon and to this union a son, who died in infancy, was born.

Mr. Dixon died in 1915.

In March 1919 she was married to W. E. Beard at Blair. In 1925 they adopted Elizabeth Merle Pembleton to whom they were very much devoted.

In 1926 they moved to Wiggins. Mrs. Beard was a superior woman in the home and was very active in church and community life.

Surviving her besides the husband and the daughter are two brothers, Oliver Hudleson of Blair, and Henry of Paoli, Indiana; a sister, Mrs. Ella Willard, of Sauk Center. Minn., four nephews, six nieces and a host of other relatives also survive.

We wish especially to thank those who sent such beautiful floral tributes and the pall bearers and all other old friends who thoughtfully assisted us at that sad time.

Fannie J. Hudleson, daughter of S. D. and Mary Hudleson was born at Orleans, Indiana on January 8th, 1872 and departed this life Feb. 3, 1932, aged 60 years, 26 days.

She moved to Nebraska with her parents in 1882, living on a farm near Blair.

She professed faith in Christ and united with the First Baptist church of Blair in her young life. She was a member of that church until her death.

She was married to Wesley Dixon on September 27, 1897. to this union was born one son who died in infancy. her husband died October 1915.

She was married to W. E. Beard of Blair in March 1919.

In 1925 they adopted Elizabeth merle Pembleton to whom they were very much devoted, giving her all the advantages of education and Christian training that it is possible to give.

They moved to Wiggins, Colorado, September 1926 where they lived until her death.

Besides her husband and daughter, she leaves to mourn their loss two brothers, Oliver Hudleson of Blair, and Henry of Paoli, Indiana, and one sister, Mrs. Ella Willard of Sauk Center, Minn.

There are four nephews, six nieces, a host of distant relatives and friends.

Her father, mother, and one brother have preceeded her in death.

She was a superior woman in home, church, and community life. Also Ladies Missionary Circle since she has lived in the Wiggins community.

By her death the home has lost a loving wife and mother, the community a faithful Christian worker.

Funeral services were held Saturday in Wiggins, Colorado, and in the Baptist church in Blair Sunday afternoon.
