Mildred Nichols, 74, of Blair, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, in Blair.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at Cutler-O’Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Interment will be in the Grange Cemetery in Honey Creek, Iowa. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mildred Nichols was born Nov. 26, 1929, in Britt, Iowa, to Glen Day and Pearl (Humphreys) Gorball.
Mrs. Nichols was a homemaker, and was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary in Blair.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Roxanne Nichols of Omaha and Joel D. Jr. and Marcy Nichols of Abbottstown, Penn.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grand-children; a sister, Maxine Binstid of West Virginia and brother, Warren Gorball of Sioux Falls, S.D.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Joel D. Nichols Sr., her parents; a son, Ronald; sister, Hazel Howarth; and brothers, Harold, Day and Harry Gorball.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
