Brother of Arlington Woman Dies
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 14, at Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Chapel for Marvin Nielsen, 59, of Golden Valley, Minnesota, and formerly of Fremont, Lincoln and Omaha, who died August 11, 1982, in a bicycle accident in Robbinsdale, Minnesota.
The Rev. Eric E Christensen conducted the services. Burial was in Ridge Cemetery.
Nielsen is the brother of Mrs. Shirley Tucker of Arlington.
Marvin Nielsen was born October 13, 1922, in Dannebrog. He was a retired employee of Continental Oil Co. and had lived in Golden Valley for the past 12 years. He was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He married Marjorie Betkie on June 27, 1942. She survives.
Other survivors are a son, Curt of Lincoln; one daughter, Kelley of Golden Valley, Minnesota; a brother, Don of Lincoln; and three sisters, Mrs. Ted (Beulah) Wallingford and Mrs. Rod (Esther) Koyen, both of Fremont; and Mrs. Shirley Tucker of Arlington.
A memorial has been established to the First Lutheran Church.
