Margaret Nohrenberg was born on October 21, 1939 at Silver City, Iowa to George and Naomi McKeen Fender. She graduated from Essex, Iowa High School in 1957. She served as a lab technician for a number of years in Miami, Florida.
She was an active member of the National Federation for the Blind for many years.
She was a member of the Word of Life Church in Decatur, Nebraska.
Surviving her in death are he husband Raymond; five children, Linda Herrick, Ellsworth, Maine; Steven Putnam, Salt Lake city, Utah; Diane Kessler, Carter Lake, Iowa; Michelle Charles, Herman; David Putnam, Council Bluffs, Iowa; four step-children, Sean Nohrenbert, Waterloo, Nebraska; Steven and Chris Nohrenberg, Herman; Anjanette Nohrenberg, Kaufman, Texas; 13 grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters, Myrl Fender, Oak Grove, Kentucky; Jeanette Singley, Columbia, South Carolina; Don Fender, Biloxi, Missippi; Laura Boles, Greensberg, Pennsylvania; Rebecca Hagen, Fremont; Roxanne McKnight, Clarksville, Tennessee; and Debra Elliot, Harold, Kentucky.
