Joni F. Hawkins Novak, 50 of Craig died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at her home in Craig.

She was born May 16, 1959, in Blair to Clarence “Tom” and Joan (Anderson) Hawkins. She grew up in Walthill. She married Paul Novak on June 26, 1976. They made their home in the Lyons, Tekamah and Craig area.

Survivors include: her husband, Paul; son, Jason of Craig; two daughters, MeLinda (and husband, Matt) Osmera of Bellevue and Erika (and husband, Mat) Pickell of Craig; a brother, Barry Hawkins of Walthill; mother-in-law, Joyce Novak of Fremont; sister-in-law, Wanda Novak of Fremont; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and father-in-law.

The memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Craig Gymnasium. There will be no visitation. Burial will be at a later date.

Memorials may be given to the family.
