Velmer Katt To Be Buried on Saturday
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 13, at 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church for Velmar Katt, 72, who died March 9, 1982, at Clarkson Hospital.
Rev. Russell Saltzman will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.
Velmar Katt was born at Arlington October 28, 1909, to Peter and Julia Meier Katt. He married Marjorie Stokes in Herman on June 6, 1937.
He was a farmer in the Washington County area. He served as a Washington County Supervisor for 12 years and was a member of the Johnson School Board. He was also on the Immanuel Lutheran Church Council.
He is survived by three sons, Phillip, Fremont; David, Fremont; Arnold, Blair; and four daughters, Mrs. Joe (Donna) Orozco, LaMaroda, California; Mrs. Charles (JoAnne) Givson, New Porte Richey, Florida; Mrs. Dale (Janet) Pleyo, Fremont; and Mrs. Gary (Rosemary) Carruth, Marshalltown, Iowa. Thirteen grandchildren: two brothers, Gilbert, Tempe, Arizona, and Alvin, Arlington; and two sisters, Evelyn and Madeline, also survive him.
Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.
