Ft. Calhoun Man Died In Omaha
Francis Joseph Keegan, 76 year old Ft. Calhoun man, died last Tuesday, October 15th at the Veterans Hospital in Omaha.
Mr. Keegan, a long-time resident of the Blair and Ft. Calhoun areas, was a farmer and laborer. He was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa February 6, 1892. He was a World War I veteran, but was never married.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Teresa Neuman of Blair and by three brothers, Lucas Keegan, of Blair, John Keegan of Ft. Calhoun and Kenneth Keegan of Kensington, Maryland.
Funeral services were held Friday morning at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair, with Father Patrick Nolan conducting the service. Burial, under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home, was made in St. Joseph Cemetery in Council Bluffs.
Pallbearers were John and William Neuman, Bernard and Leo Keegan, Louis Sully and David Gabriel.
