Services For August Kerkhoff Were Sunday

Services for August H. Kerkhoff of rural Nickerson, were held on Sunday, October 13. Mr. Kerkhoff passed away at the age of 70 early Wednesday morning.

He is survived by his wife Marie, of Nickerson and two sons. The sons are Dr. Stanley Kerkhoff, of Broomfield, Colorado and Rodney Kerkhoff of Pine Island, Minnesota. There are also eight grandchildren.

Mr. Kerkhoff had been suffering from a lingering illness. He was a member of the Arlington Masonic Lodge, the Elks Lodge and Eagles Lodge of Fremont.

Services were at 2:30 on Sunday at the Salem Lutheran Church at Fontanelle. Interment was in the church cemetery. Reckmeyer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
