SERVICES FOR DOROTHY MENKING HELD WEDNESDAY
Funeral services for Dorothy Menking of Blair were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at First Christian Church. Pastor Owen Wilmot officiated with organist Donna Ball and vocalist Dorothy Wilmot. Song selections were “In the Garden” and “What a Friend We Have in Jesus.” Graveside services were held at the Blair Cemetery.
Dorothy was born in Tekamah to Charlie and Kate (Hislep) Gilliam Jan. 20, 1906. She died at the Blair Hospital Sunday, February 18, at the age of 79. She was a resident of Parkview Manor.
Survivors include her son Rodney Menking of Fremont; two grandchildren; and sisters Maude Moore and Ethel (Bid) Moore, both of Blair. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
Pallbearers were Bob Arterburn, Leslie Miller Sr., Allie Millrons, Ivan Moore, Roger Fitch and Pete Sorensen.
Memorials may be given to the First Christian Church of Blair.
