SERVICES FOR ARLINGTON OFFICIAL WERE MONDAY
Mrs. Hazel Sorensen, 53, of Arlington died Thursday at her home.
Mrs. Sorensen, Arlington City Clerk for 16 years, was born January 29, 1928 in Blair. She lived in Arlington since 1947. She was a member of Arlington Community Church and American Legion Auxiliary. She was named “Clerk of the Year” for 1980 by the Nebraska League of Municipalities.
Survivors are one son, Ronn, Wichita, Kansas; one daughter, Mrs. Roger (Beverly) Anderson, Omaha; three grandchildren; one brother, Harvey Hansen, Omaha; and two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Helen) Stork and Mrs. Gifford (Georgiana) French, both of Arlington.
Funeral services were Monday at 2 p.m. in Arlington Community Church, with the Rev. Gerald Senn officiating. Burial was in Blair Cemetery.
Reckmeyer Funeral Home, Arlington, was in charge of arrangements.
