Sister Of Blair Woman Buried At Fremont Monday
Mrs. Roy L. Kiger, a sister of Mrs. Anna Thompson of Blair, was buried at Fremont, Monday, November 16th following her death at a Fremont hospital on Friday, November 13th. Mrs. Kiger was 67 years old and lived in Fremont.
She was born at Harlan, Iowa, December 6, 1901. Prior to her marriage she was Amanda Petersen. She grew up in Blair and was a graduate of Blair High School. Mrs. Kiger also graduated from Kearney State College. She was a retired teacher having taught at Springfield, Nebraska and at Fontanelle in west Washington county.
She is survived by her husband, two sons, William and Robert F., a daughter, Mrs. Glen R. (Alice) Jessen, all of Fremont, two brothers, L.J. Petersen, of Kimballton, Iowa and Walter Petersen, of Blair, two sisters, Mrs. Anna Thompson of Blair and Mrs. Milo Hart of Harlan, Iowa. There are two grandchildren.
