Michael Sonderup Died Thursday At Blair Hospital

Long-time Farmer Attended Dana College Many Years Ago

Michael T. Sonderup, long-time farmer of the Blair area, died last Thursday at Memorial Community Hospital. For the past year he had been a resident of the Good Shepherd Home and he had been in declining health for a number of months.

Michael Thomsen Sonderup was born March 7, 1895 at St. Paul, Nebraska but came to the Blair area many years ago. He was 73 years old at the time of his death.

For the past fifteen years he had owned and farmed a place just north of Dana College. In 1958 Mrs. Sonderup died but he continued to make his home on the farm.

He is survived by four sons, all of whom live in the Blair area. They are Merle, Harold, Delmar and Ray Sonderup. A sister, Mrs. Emma Rasmussen, lives at Carol, Nebraska and another sister, Mrs. Esther Enevoldsen lives at Danebrog, Nebraska. There are a number of nieces and nephews.

There are 2 brothers, Chris of Fullerton and Henry of Wolbach, Nebraska.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon (Monday) at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. George Pallesen conducting the service. Burial, under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home will be made in the Blair cemetery.
