Lt. Col. Edgar J. Boschult, a native of Arlington, died in action in Germany on Nov. 8 according to a war department message received by his widow, Inez K. Boschult of Lincoln. The former Washington county resident, at one time Nebraska American Legion commander, was a brother of Mrs. Roland Wachter of Herman.
Overseas since last July, Col. Boschult was commanding officer of an artillery battalion. He had served in World War I as an enlisted navy man, receiving a reserve officers army commission following graduation from the University of Nebraska.
Surviving Col. Boschult are his widow, a Lincoln junior high school teacher; two brothers, Wilbur Boschult of Fremont, and Elmer of Lawler, Ia.; six sisters, Mrs. A. G. Borchers of Denver, Mrs. John Schultez of Huntley, Mrs. C. Lester Johnson of Holdrege, Loretta Boschult of Omaha, Mrs. W. C. Meierhenry of Lincoln and Mrs. Roland Wachter of Herman; also uncles and aunts, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Niebaum and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Rabe of Fremont.

Memorial rites for Lt. Col. Edgar J. Boschult, who was killed in Germany on Nov. 8, were held at Westminster church, Lincoln, Sunday. A native of Washington county, Col. Boschult was a former University of Nebraska employee.
