Matilda Oerman, 76, of rural Nickerson died Wednesday, May 21, 1980, in Memorial Hospital of Dodge County.
Born January 17, 1904, in Craig, Mrs. Oerman was a lifelong resident of the Nickerson-Herman area.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Arlington, St. Paul's Women's
League and the Fontanelle Extension Club.
She married Lawrence Oerman September 15, 1926, in Immanuel Lutheran Church near Winslow. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Leslie of Herman and Laverne of Nickerson; a sister, Mrs. Adolph (Bertha) Bartling of Hooper; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 23, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Robert Backhus officiated. Burial was in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Reckmeyer Funeral Home in Arlington was in charge of arrangements for the services.

Matilda S. Oerman was born at Craig, Nebraska on January 17, 1904. She was the daughter of Henry Benjes and Ann (Niederhoefer) Benjes. She was a lifelong resident of the Nickerson and Herman area. She was united in Holy Matrimony with Lawrence Oerman September 15, 1926, at Immanuel Lutheran Church east of Winslow, Nebraska. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Arlington, Nebraska, St. Paul's Women's League and the Fontanelle Extension Club.
Mrs. Oerman passed away Wednesday, May 21, 1980 at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont, Nebraska. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence; 2 sons, Leslie and Laverne; 1 sister, Mrs. Adolph (Bertha) Bartling; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother, Fred; 1 sister, Mrs. Emma Stuenkel and by 1 granddaughter.
