Robert G. Welsh, 73, of Fort Calhoun died Dec. 21, 2010, in Fort Calhoun.

A memorial service was held Thursday, Dec. 30, at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun.

Robert G. Welsh was born April 12, 1937, in Omaha. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Omaha.

He is survived by his wife, Liz (Jobe) Welsh; sons and daughters-in-law, Shane and Shelly Welsh of Papillion, Bobby and Kari Welsh of Colorado, and Mick and Megan Pierce of Papillion; daughter, Debra Chesney of Texas; stepson, Tam Miller of Fort Calhoun; stepdaughter, Cindy Lewis of Fort Calhoun; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Pam Thedford of Enid, Okla.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Cook.
