Walter E. Koenig

Walter E. Koenig of Blair died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. Private graveside services were held Tuesday, Aug. 23, at the Blair Cemetery.

Walter Ernst Koenig was born in rural Blair to Charles and Caroline (Bench) Koenig. He graduated from Blair High School, and farmed in the Blair area his entire life.

On Feb. 15, 1945, he married Katherine Matzen in Kansas.

Mrs. Koenig survives him, as does a sister, Margaret Julson of California, and numerous relatives and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
