FUNERAL IS HELD SATURDAY FOR AUGUST STORK
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 24, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington for August P. Stork, who died from injuries received in a semi-car accident on January 21, 1981.
Rev. Robert Backhus officiated. Burial was in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
August P. Stork was born November 18, 1889, near Orum, Nebraska. He farmed there until his retirement in 1946. He then moved to Arlington.
On April 19, 1911, he married Maria Kroeger in Beemer. She preceded him in death on June 24, 1973.
He was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Arlington where he served as an elder for many years. He also was past president of the Concordia Mutual Insurance Company.
Survivors include two sons, Martin C. Stork, Arlington, and Harlan Stork, Blair; one daughter, Mrs. Albert Dunklau, Arlington; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Reckmeyer Funeral Home, Arlington, was in charge of arrangements for the services.
