ARLINGTON NEWS -- MRS. STRENGER’S FUNERAL WAS ON SUNDAY
Services for Mrs. Gertrude Katherine Strenger, 74, who died Wednesday night in a Fremont hospital, was held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Salem Lutheran Church at Fontanelle.
A family prayer service preceded at 1:45 p.m. Rev. Alex Wacker officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Strenger lived near Fontanelle all her life and was a member of the church, an honorary member of its Ladies Aid and a member of Lutheran Church Women.
She was born Sept. 7, 1890 near Fontanelle. She married George Strenger April 17, 1912 in Fontanelle. He died Sept. 19, 1962.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth, and a sister, Martha Hartung, both of Fontanelle; two brothers, Harvey Hartung, Nickerson, and Elmer Hartung, Fremont.
