Gifford Compton, a former Blair man and a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Compton, died at his home in Boise, Idaho Monday afternoon. He was 74 years of age. He had lived in Boise for many years, having left Washington County when a young man. A twin brother, Gilford, died about a year ago and he has lived alone in Boise since that time.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Betty Sieckmeyer of Blair. There are some nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Boise on Friday and the body will be shipped to Blair for burial in the family lost. Services will be held here Monday.
