John Hinrichsen Funeral
An audience which more than filled the Presbyterian church assembled for the funeral services for John Hinrichsen Saturday afternoon. The Masonic lodge had charge of the service, Rev. A. R. Vanderlippe of Florence delivering the sermon. A mass of beautiful flowers symbolized the esteem in which Mr. Hinrichsen was held by those who had known him during his lifetime residence in this vicinity.
Mr. Hinrichsen was born in Davenport, Iowa, in 1878 and when a small child came with his parents to Ft. Calhoun, and resided in this vicinity almost continuously until his death. He was a fine type of citizen, idolized by his family and held in the highest esteem by all who knew him, and his untimely passing is keenly felt by the entire community. He is survived by his loving wife, five children, Marie, Amanda, Arthur, Ella and Clara, all at home; his step-mother, Mrs. John Hinrichsen, of Ft. Calhoun; three brothers, William, of Plattsmouth, Henry H. of Ft. Calhoun and Louis of Omaha; and two sisters, Mrs. Carl Rohwe of Ft. Calhoun and Mrs. John Moeller of Perkins county.
