May 16, 1966 – July 2, 2015
Elizabeth Norris, 49, of Toano, Virginia, passed peacefully on Thursday, July 2, after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her daughters, Colby and Dylan, husband David, her mother Debbie Bonacci of Newton, Kansas, brother Michael Bonacci of Fort Calhoun, Nebraska, and many nieces and nephews.
Libby was a graduate of Fort Calhoun High School and Southeast Missouri State University. Libby worked the past 10 years for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, where she was passionate about improving water quality by working with landowners to install management practices on their properties.
Libby was active in many Williamsburg organizations, including the Warhill Athletic Boosters, Warhill and JB Blayton PTAs, and the Starz travel softball board. Libby’s passions include being outdoors with family and friends, hunting, fishing, camping, and especially following her daughters’ many athletic activities.
Libby was preceded in death by her father, Don Bonacci, and brother, James Bonacci. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., Friday, July 10th at Legacy Hall, 4301 New Town Ave, Williamsburg. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, 1108 East Main St., Suite 1600, Richmond, VA 23219-3539 or www.cbf.org.
