James A. Loudon, 75, of Blair, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, at the Fremont Area Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home.
James A. Loudon was born on June 8, 1925 at Lynch to Loyal and Grace (Kirk) Loudon. He attended school at Herrick, S.D.
He served four years in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
On April 6, 1946, he married Mary Mundorf in Lyons.
Mr. Loudon farmed in Anoka, and was a truck driver until his retirement in 1985. He moved to Blair in 1988. He was a member of the Fremont V.F.W. and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons, James Loudon of Milwaukee, Wis.; and Eugene Loudon of Fremont; two step-daughters and sons-in-law, Joleen and Larry Nielsen of Hooper; and Sylvia and Don Purkey of Las Vegas, Nev.; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Ethel Sylvis of Blair; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the Blair Rescue Squad.
Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
