Services were held Tuesday, November 3 at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun for Helen L. Crawshaw, 86 of Fort Calhoun who died October 30, 1992 at Good Shepherd Home in Blair. Rev. Ken Jensen officiated. Burial was in the Wisner Cemetery.

Helen L. Crawshaw was born October 19, 1906 at Wisner, Nebraska to Peter and Anna Boechcen Tritten. She attended Wisner High School.

She had a beauty shop and general store that she and Bill owned in Fort Calhoun. In later years, she was a civil service inspector for the government at Wilkinson’s Mfg. in Fort Calhoun.

She was a Gold Star Mother in the Fort Calhoun American Legion Auxiliary.

She married Donald Fouts.

She also married Bill Crawshaw. He preceded her in death March 23, 1985.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Eugene Donald Fouts who was killed in World War II in the South Pacific at Tarawa at the age of 19.

She is survived by one sister, Clara Butterfield of Tokeland, Washington, a nephew, Chet Butterfield of Fresno, California and other nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Bud Lanouette, Jack Worm, Keith Knight, Muggs Suverkrubbe, Mike Christensen and Charles Berry.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
