Stanley E. Bena, 89

Stanley E. Bena, 89, of Omaha, died July 8, 2001.

Funeral services were held July 12 at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Omaha. Interment was at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mr. Bena was born Feb. 24, 1912 to William and Agnes Bena. He was a long-time member of St. Matthew’s, and past Master Masonic Lodge No. 326.

He is survived by his wife, Eva, son and daughter-in-law, Bernie and Sharon Bena of Omaha, two grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, many beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and family, including three sisters, Lillian Short of Blair, Helen Weber of Omaha, and Evelyn Rischling of Milligan.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, William C., Joseph, Raymond, and Milton, and sisters Bessie Pendl, Madeline Cloudt, Janet Cyronek, Emily and Blanche.

Memorials are suggested to the Blair Fire Department or to the donor’s choice.
