Services will be 1 p.m. Friday Jan. 3 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolbach, Nebr. for Ronald Dean Berney, 55 of Omaha, who died Dec. 26, 1996 at the VA Hospital.

He was a veteran. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 331 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 247.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Errol and Mary Berney; a sister, Dorothy Bayless and a brother, Dwayne Berney.

He is survived by two daughters, Barbara, Pennsylvania and Heather, Phoenix, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Patrick, Victoria and Mary; two brothers, John of Virginia Beach, Va. and Dale of Omaha; four sisters, Nadine Weiseman, Phoenix; Marilyn Todd, Carson, Iowa; Beverly Newquist, Cedar Rapids, Nebr. and Caryl Nelson, Fort Calhoun and a friend, Sharon Kalkas of Omaha.
