Lyle E. Follen age 85 of Stanton, formerly of Fremont, died August 27, 2015 at the Stanton Health Center in Stanton, NE. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday September 2 at 10:30 a.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Graveside service to follow in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
Lyle E. Follen was born on February 2, 1930 in Herman, Nebraska, the son of Emil and Gladys Follen. He attended and graduated from Blair High School. After high school he proudly joined the U.S. Army and served with the 82nd air born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. After his honorable discharge from the Army in 1952 he attended Dana College. After college he began working with his father in the family flooring restoration and repair service. He worked several places place over his lifetime including Valmont in Valley as a Machinist. When he lived in Cedar Bluffs he was very active with softball, umpiring tournaments all across the state of Nebraska. He spent a large portion of his life as a resident of Fremont.
He is survived by daughter Pamela (John) Shannon of Bellgrade, MT, son Lyle Follon Jr. of Stanton, NE, son Pat Follen of Arlington, NE, 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, son Mark Follen, daughter Marsha Dau, brother Alan Follen.
