Funeral services for Opal Betts, age 86 of Lincoln who died at the Madonna
Center in Lincoln December 1, 1991, will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 4 at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.
Burial will be in the Orum Cemetery.
Opal L. Larson was born on July 6, 1905 at Orum, Nebraska to Rasmus and Alice Miller Larson. She graduated from Blair High School and from Midland College in 1921. She taught school in Washington and Dodge counties.
She worked in the accounting department for the Eaton Metal Products Company in Omaha, retiring in 1971. She lived in Omaha from 1926 until 1979, at which time she moved to Lincoln.
She was a member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Lincoln.
In 1936 she married Leo Betts in Omaha. He preceded her in death in February of 1964.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ralph L. Larson.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Donald and Irene Betts, Lincoln, Nebraska; grandchildren, Mrs. Sandra Werth, Mrs. Barbara Peters of Omaha and Mrs. Leontine Barney and Katherine Betts, both of Lincoln and great-grandchildren Alicia, Gretchen, Adam,
Lisa, Matthew, Phillip, Jessica and Noah.
Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
