Shirley Jean Schreurs, age 76, of Blair died November 1, 2015, at her home in Lakeland Estates. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 6 at 1:00 PM at Country Bible Church in Blair. Burial will take place at Graceland Park Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska. Visitation will be held Thursday November 5 at Campbell Aman Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
Shirley was born on September 10, 1939, in Omaha, the daughter of Joe and Vlasta Nocita. She was raised in Omaha and attended Omaha South High School.
On June 30, 2001, Shirley married Bob Schreurs, the couple made their home in Blair.
Shirley loved God with all her heart. She enjoyed listening to Christian Radio and watching the Gaither Vocal Band every Saturday night. Her family was her greatest passion and she treasured her time with them.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 14 years Bob Schreurs; daughters: Teri (Rick) Isaacs of Council Bluffs, Debbie Skelton of Omaha; stepchildren: Amy (Matt) Nelsen of Blair, and Jill Schillerberg of Omaha; 2 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; sister Patricia (John) Cimino of Fort Calhoun; her niece and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Carla Nath.
