FUNERAL RITES SUNDAY FOR JOHN HAGEDORN

Funeral services were held Sunday, August 26th, for John Hagedorn of Fort Calhoun, who passed away August 24th, at the Blair Hospital. Mr. Hagedorn had been in failing health for some time.

He was 79 years old at the time of his death, having been born in Douglas County near Bennington on July 25, 1894. He farmed in the area between Fort Calhoun and Bennington for many years and has lived in Fort Calhoun for some time.

Mr. Hagedorn is survived by his wife, Katie, a brother, Fred of Omaha, and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Nipp of Idaho, and several nieces and nephews.

Sievers Funeral Home of Fort Calhoun was in charge of arrangements. The funeral was held at St. John’s Lutheran Church of 11120 Calhoun Road, north of Florence, the Reverend Faszfolz officiating.
