Louise Marie Case was born Nov. 26, 1909, in Blair to Samuel and Eva (Marple) Case. Her family farmed in Washington County and in the Divide Center community in Burt County, where she attended school and church. She graduated from Oakland High School.
On Dec. 23, 1931, she married Earl Wayne Hale at the Divide Center Presbyterian Church. The couple farmed in Burt County and later lived and worked in Decatur, Grand Island, Blair, and Upland, Calif. Above all, she is remembered as a wonderful role model for her family, consistently demonstrating her inner strength, fairness, humility and selflessness.
