BERNICE HALBERT
Funeral services were held October 7 for Miss Bernice Halbert in Lincoln. Her parents lived in Blair at one time when Mr. Halbert was part owner of the Blair Drug Store.
Miss Halbert, 88, a former English professor at Nebraska Wesleyan University, died Friday. She joined the Wesleyan faculty in 1928, and also served as dean of women before her retirement in 1967.
She is survived by a brother, Dale, of Lincoln, and a sister, Hortense Gordon of Omaha.
Mrs. Cliff Halbert of Blair is a sister-in-law.
