Kenneth Frederick Jensen passed on December 15, 2015 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. Memorial services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, December 19th, 2015 at First Lutheran Church in Blair with burial to follow at the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, December 18th at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home from 3 PM to 8 PM with family present from 6 PM to 8 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM.

Kenneth was born August 31st, 1922 in Blair to Fred and Leona Jensen. He attended Cuming City School through eighth grade and graduated from Blair High School in 1940. He worked for Pete Iversen for two years doing farm work before enlisting in the army in November 1942. He was a tank mechanic in Europe in World War II. After the war, he came home and started farming with his dad and continued farming into his 90s. He married Geraldine Johnson on March 19, 1949. Geraldine passed away in 1999. The last fifteen years, he enjoyed spending time with his special friend, Betty Sieckmeyer. On April 15th 2010, he was presented with a Golden Sheaf Certificate recognizing 50 years of continuous National Grange Membership.

Kenneth is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Mary Jensen and Randy and Ruth Jensen, all of Blair; his grandchildren, Michael Jensen of Portland, OR, Bradley Jensen and wife Erika of Algona, IA, Taryn Jensen LaFlamme and husband Brett of Somerville, MA, Jaime Jensen Rorie and husband Andrew of Kansas City, MO, and Brett Jensen of Portland, ME; his great grandchildren, Henry LaFlamme and Theo Jensen; his special friend, Betty Sieckmeyer; and his extended family, Jerri Haag Huffman and family and Shane Haag and family.

He is preceded in death by his wife Geraldine, parents Fred and Leona Jensen, and his brother Leon Jensen.

Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church or Crowell Home in Kenneth’s name.
