Blair, Neb., May 9th, 1881. Amos Holstead was born in the State of Virginia, Monroe County, May 28th, 1813. Was married to Rebecca Howard, May 28th, 1863. Moved to Nebraska in 1873 and has been a resident of Washington county since that time until his death which occurred February 18, 1881. He was aged 67 years, 8 months and 17 days and left a wife, four daughters and two sons behind him. His funeral was preached in the U. B. church, of this place on Sunday, May 8th, 1881. He was happily converted while on his death-bed, and now dwells on the sunny banks of sweet deliverance, awaiting his loved ones who are left to follow him. Pastor.
